| I think we should... its not as bad to manage vs. other sports like football because there are only like 15 guys on your team. | |

| I agree we should too... I found a great website with all the salaries and it'll only take a bit more work to do it...
I'm going to keep this poll open until we get 10 for yes or 10 for no.

| well after searching through IGN and Gamspot forums for answers, here is what I got:
--If you are already above the cap, you can only make trades that put you under the cap. --If you are below the cap, you can make a trade and become above the cap, but you'll end up in that (^^) situation. --You cannot turn off the cap in 2K8, and it is unlikely that you can in 2K9.
We should prepare for the worst and assume you can't turn off the cap.

| I think we should use the salary cap.
I have by far the highest salary in the NBA. Part of my wanting to take the Knicks is to have a rebuilding stage and get back under the cap.
Do it! |

Do it! That's the main reason I wanted the salary cap. It'll be fun to take a team in real life situations and face a challenge.

| there are only a few teams UNDER the cap
and on the game, and in real life, you can only make moves that result in your cap being around the same amount, if you are ABOVE the salary cap
like you can trade a 8 million dollar player for a 10 million dollar player but not a 2 for a 10
i believe the rule is that you can only go up by 25% of the total amount involved in the trade
so lets say you are trading that 8 for 10 that works cause its only 20%
but in a 7 for a 10 the guy giving the 7 million dollar player would have to throw in a little more
its very complicated, and will make trades difficult
i thought you could turn off cap in nba2k8 though
